Crackling on receiver Volume Pot

I have an old Pioneer SX-737. When I power up and turn up the volume, I get an annoying crackle out of the right channel. It only occurs low on the volume pot's range and goes away after working the pot back and forth a few times.

A while back when I had it open to replace some transistors, I sprayed some Deoxit in all the pots but it didn't seem to alleviate the issue. Anyone have ideas on where/what components to check?

You are supposed to use fader lube in pots as it has lubricant but it might still not solve the problem. Pots do wear out after > 40+ Years of use

DeOxit spray between contacts working knob back and forth a few times
I would do all the controls while you have it open
