Nice! I have to take a $100 (Round Trip) ferry ride of an hour and a half each way to get to New England (New London,CT), so I have to calculate that in, but I'll keep my eyes open!

Pink Floyd Authentic RIAA Platinum Record Award Dark Side Of TM Framed - $900

I have a genuine Gold record award from Dark Side Of The Moon - this was awarded to band members, management and other industry insiders for selling 14 million copies in all formats (it has since sold over 27 million!) Seldom seen offered for sale; never sold retail. I am only selling because my 2 small children have a habit of destroying everything and preschool costs a ton. So it's time to pass on the torch to another fan. Very good shape; some of the blank discs inside the frame have cracks from years of display, but they still look nice and are not a distraction - they could be replaced with new blank CDs if it really bugs you. You will have some serious bragging rights with this piece. PLEASE reply with your phone number or else I will NOT respond. Please don't waste your time offering me $500 for it - I'd just as soon leave it in the attic for my heirs. email me for larger pix. It looks Much Nicer in person, so please excuse my crummy attempts at photography...

These used to be all over the place inside radio stations. The little plaque on the bottom should say "Awarded to.............. to commemorate..." with WXXX's call letters or their Program Director's name on it. The jobbers that made them would basically spray paint an album from the cutout bin, relabel & mount it. No actual gold involved...

Oh - I just looked at it again. Actually it's a multi-platinum award, from the CD era. If you want actual platinum, get a catalytic converter....
