Craigslist, Seattle smattering ...

, but in reality, if the local reseller waited to see it here first, they would at long last be out of the competition. It sounds suspiciously doubtful, though - or hot?

Good chance the seller doesn't look at replies for a few hours, maybe the wife posted it for him, maybe he is moving furniture all afternoon or watching the football game. ...and more than even odds that he is going to pick and choose among replies when he does get around to looking.

Of course the only way a deal like this works is if you're close, have the cash, get a quick reply, and hit the road immediately. in the meantime, got to keep it on the lowdown.

Odds are, if this deal is real, someone has the speakers in their truck now and are banging their head on the dashboard at their good luck.

This one looks real to me, the ones that don't smell right usually have too much information in them. You never know. Would (have been) be a sweet pickup.

Just furniture? Is it in need of fixing or something?

No, it works fine after a session with John at NWAS, but is about 12 pieces down in the rotation to other gear. I have had a few Kenwood integrateds, my first amp was a KA-3500, and they have never won or come close to the Sansui integrateds. Maybe they all needed a refresh/new caps...but I prefer Sansui.

Those Fraziers are some kinda wild things for sure.

Probably like me some of us already have Pioneer RtR's? Or like 10" reels instead? The 701 wasn't autoreverse but if it has the same tape heads as the 707 it will sound good. More importantly at this stage, Pioneers are more reliable than most RtR's I've seen.

"wants his garage back"

No affiliation.

:yikes::lmao: I saw that, and have to wonder what was this guy's plan when he stacked up this pile of junk in his garage?

The listing claims it's untested, so he never touched the stuff?

...did he grab it all in a bulk buy himself and now coming to terms with wtf to do with the stuff...? :scratch2:

SLF . . . those JBL 4430's are soooooo sweet! What's on top? I've decided my next set of speakers must be vintage JBL's.

That's one of the 4311b's that I grabbed on a pretty good day on Seattle CL last summer. $35 with a (semi-repaired) rip in one of the woofer cones. Same day I grabbed a nice pair of Klipsch Heresies for 75 bucks. Both within a few miles of me, a crazy day. Love the vintage JBL sound. The 4311b's are a bit too exciting for regular listening but I think that they are really nice sounding speakers and fun to play with. I am a big believer and love the vintage JBL sound.

I was wondering the same thing. I spy a few promising items, but I don't want most of that stuff in my garage either.

Actually, I can see into his past...

He found AudioKarma, started reading about vintage gear, started hitting the thrifts, a few years go by, and there we are.

This one is fishy

Sorry, couldn't resist... :D

Hey Dick, he prolly got a bunch of Humpies {Pink Salmon} as there were a gazillion this year, he should have released them, they really are not worth the heat to cook them. Good dog food. Ok if smoked but never frozen.
Fun to catch!

For a TV he can't give away, and posts poor spelling skills for the world to see.

Indeed, I have no stomach for subject/verb agreement errors.

I predict it will sell despite the dozen flagrancies; Gary Dahl and George Coakley made half a million on Pet Rocks because of the clever packaging and owner's manual. :headscrat

Dahl's manual was unabashedly absurd: "your Pet Rock can help protect you - you yell "Attack!" and throw it at the threatening person."

(Please do not confuse your pet rock with your pet Hitachi TV, which was designed to stupefy rather than contuse.)

It helps if you read the following in staccato Bass-O-Matic shill voice... :deal:

Yeah, no doubt they are stacked up in his freezer if he has 60 to give away. He should have fired up the Luhr Jensen Little Chief Smoker!

Mmm, smoked salmon, Tillamook sharp cheddar and saltines. must be time for dinner!

Picked these up on Seattle CL yesterday. Had never heard of them but am glad I jumped on them. Symdex Gamma with sweet French Polydax drivers. Supposedly a cult classic.
