CRC QD Cleaner safe for tuners?

Just got a Sherwood S7200 receiver. Was reaching for my Deoxit D5 when I saw AK posts on not using it on Sherwoods as Deoxit is not plastic safe. I have Deoxit F5 which says is plastic safe. But some AKers disagree. CRC QD is plastic safe and has good Amazon reviews. This is the blue can not the red can. Specifically says "plastic safe".
So suggestions? And are Sherwoods a special case? Historically I just used Deoxit D5. Never had an issue but this is my first Sherwood.

Deoxit D leaves a residue which is a no-no for variable capacitor tuners. gotta keep those rotors clean!
why do you need plastic-safe CRC? isn't the 'tuner-part' all metal?

CRC no-residue with a syringe to clean the various areas that support the turning/tuning mechanism (usually green goo/lube and white crusty crap). use a toothpick or whatever floats your boat,
F5 after totally clean on the same areas you CRC'ed.

I believe there are plastic wipers in the switches. Phenolic wipers.
