I found the Youtube link to this video in a funny article about it on boingboing.net: http://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/22/creepy_but_awesome_f.html

I think the comment on the Youtube entry - “I’m so embarrassed to be white” - summarizes this one…

Hyvä!

Ok, not really. There's just something about "YMCA" that makes it inexorably linked to bad music videos.

Btw, the first video is a parody of some of these bad covers in English by overseas groups and not an actual video, in case you didn't know. It just doesn't have the same feel good authenticity like the real videos or even tongue-in cheek American variants such as "Gem Sweaters."

Just great, listening to that "NMKY" song brings back loads of memories from the time I took an enrichment course in the Finnish language.

That bass player is really something though.

That is so wrong. I could only watch 5 seconds.

Here is another version of YMCA.
If they made this country's inmates do this we would have less crime.

Utterly ...creepy hardly captures it. Disgusting, in a way.

That prison-inmates thing is something else, though: probably would reduce crime if they drilled prisoners like that. Heck, with all the time they have to practice, it wouldn't surprise me if they came up with some really top entertainers out of prison populations. [:scratch2: Maybe they already have them in the form of hip-hop maestros and some NBA players?].

I thought it was a hoot. Creepy, perhaps, but still uproariously funny.
