Ever heard of the Cri Cri? It´s the worlds smallest twin engine plane.

This guy put 2 jet engines in it, instead of the piston motors.

Too cool!

i bet the pilot weighs more than the craft. that's nuts. i wonder what the intended use is, or is it simply for the fun of it?

I'm sure it is intended as a "sport" aircraft like the prop version- I'd bet it can't fly much longer than it did in the video. The old BD5J didn't have much range either.

Somewhere in the comments the pilot said it can fly for a maximum of 40 minutes, and that he keeps most flights to 30 minutes.

APUs from a bizjet?
APU turbines are a turbo-shaft. No thrust power. I had a small one here for awhile. It ran a small generator. The cabinet it was in had red lines on the outer case marking the plane of rotation. It spun at 33,000 rpm. Didn't want to stand too close.....

OK, what I thot.

Friend used to bring one to tractor/ engine shows to display, was asked not to run it where noise would be a problem. Loud!!

A friend of mine was building his Cri Cri in my hanger when I was building my Cassutt. I thought the Cassutt was small. I wouldn't even attempt to fit into his plane.

Never stand in the plane of rotation. That is what the red line is telling you.
