I just purchased a beautiful pair of KLH 5's for $100 off CraigsList. I couldn't believe you could actually by a pair of used speakers without a single dented dustcap. :D I also have a pair of Model 12's and extra set of Model 12 crossover boxes. If I modified the 5's to mimic the 12's with no internal crossover and four posts on the back to attach the crossovers, do you think I would hear any noticable improvement in the sound?
