There's one psychologist who no longer with us, and he would be smiling on finding out this proposed research.

Timothy Leary.

You figure?

There was an excellent documentary about use of psychedelics in treatment of various ailments as well as just general experiments. In one, they brought in professionals from different areas of expertise. Math, science, business, etc. Each had to have a problem they had been working on for at least 3 months without making progress. After some LSD, nearly all of them were able to solve the problem. In another, there was a 90 year old woman that had terminal cancer and was suffering from night terrors (my mother had the same problem before she died from cancer). She volunteered for one of the clinical trials and was given LSD. After the trial, she said she was at peace and no longer feared death.

This is no joke.

Psychedelics can be very powerful tools in treating depression, anxiety and other issues. I have seen this first-hand.
The OP's article is now 6 years old and a lot has happened in this area since then.

Reflecting on the intricacies of mental health, I recognize its profound impact on our lives. Amidst challenges, prioritizing well-being becomes imperative. Nurturing our minds is akin to tending to a delicate garden. Just as https://www.australiacounselling.com.au/ provides help, we too must seek resources and support. Embracing this journey, we cultivate resilience and pave the way for a brighter, balanced future.

Pfizer is way ahead of the curve on this... a whole classification of drugs to deal with it. Meds. Very profitable too and many sing it's praises. I know some who say without it they would not be able to function, removes peaks and valleys., mood swings.

Like k57
mentioned, heard a 1/2 hr special on the air-waves, wherein a researcher raved on unexpected positive effects from this genre of drugs.

Just goes to show ya. :bigok:

Pzizer is ahead of the curve only in relation to other pharmaceutical companies. Effective therapies using Ketamine, psylocyben and other drugs have been available for years if you are willing to pay and know where to look.

And I'm talking legit therapy, not taking a hit of acid and watching the room breathe with your friends...

I haven't been to a doctor in 20 years cuz they're a bunch of drug pushers. The last straw was when he tried to push some happy drugs on me. The nice thing about security clearances (at least the serious ones, we've had this discussion before) is that you literally have to JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS.

Illegal drugs, yes.
No. If you're all juiced up on prescription drugs you're not gonna have access to sensitive information. ESPECIALLY drugs prescribed to help MENTAL PROBLEMS. Life is unfair. They'll find some other sh:t for you to do or you'll just have to get another job.
