Crown GCSX Tube reel to reel problem

i got a crown reel to reel player and older tube recorder. its model GCSX it has a probelm when i turn it on there is a 4 amp circuit breaker in it that pops after a second of it powering on. anyone know anything about these or what the cause maybe.

I had the same problem with mine. I replaced the caps and tested the diodes but, it still popped the fuse. I suspect the selenium rectifier is the problem. I ended up getting a new transport from someone parting out a machine. One day I will get around to trying to fix the old deck but, for now, the machine is working.
