Crown OC-150 Control Center Install

Went and got myself some Crown gear; DC-300A power amp, IC-150A preamp and an OC-150 Control Center. Had them all checked out by a reputable tech here in Seattle. They checked out great. He really liked the build quality. My problem is this: I can't find a schematic showing how to connect all three pieces of gear together so they function as designed. I don't know, maybe I'm stupid or just over thinking it. Any input on connecting all three would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

IC-150 or OC-150A? The OC-150 combined with IC-150 gives a HUGE amount of flexibility that can be bewildering. Decide what you want to do with them, then figure out what connectors you need.

In reality, there is almost no need for an OC-150 in a home listening room. Do you have multiple amps? Multiple speakers you want to control from multiple amps? Electrostatic headphones? If not, enjoy the meters!

I have a TL DR story about a set up of Crown equipment. I had:

- IC-150
- OC-150
- EQ-2
- PSA-2

It was a spectacular system for a 22 year old. A friend owned these (+Denon Dp-62L, ADS 910s, and Technics RS-1500) and was getting married. The wife-to-be would not accept them in their small apartment. He sold them to me incredibly cheap with the agreement that he could buy them back within 3 years if he wanted. Well, within two and half years he bought a house big enough to house the whole system, and l lost a spectacular sound system. He did give me the Denon, which I have to this day.

I’ve always wondered if he bought the house just to reclaim his beloved Crown system.

Regardless, one (of many) lesson I learned is that, for home listening, the OC-150A is a solution in search of a problem. But I still want one.

The OC-150a puts all those amp meters to shame. It can accurately display output level (both VU and Peak Reading) from the selected amp at various levels With a peak hold feature with adjustable time to release. It switches 3 sets of speakers for amp 1, monitors amp 2 and 3 and supplies amp 3 power to two switched sets of headphone outputs. Has electrostatic headphone connections on rear. And can monitor line voltage. A quality piece that isn’t needed in most home stereos. Love having one though. They are cool.

Crown used to have manuals available online. They show standard hook ups. The preamp output RCA plug cable end goes to the amp input with 1/4” TS phone plug end. Get the right cable if this is permanent but an adapter is ok for testing and waiting the 2 hours before amazon delivers.

The OC takes power amp output, dual banana plugs on both ends of speaker cable. Can be with or without speakers, meaning they can go to the amp or the OC at this time to get things working.

call back when you get the wires needed to get started.

The OC-150 might be slightly different. It looks different with rectangular buttons, brushed (shiny) aluminum with black lower band vs the ‘a‘ version with satin (white) aluminum round buttons and a gray sash.
