CT-F1000 Pinch Roller Replacement

I'm resurrecting an old thread (that's in the Turntable forum) over here...

http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=149479

I think my CT-F1000 pinch rollers are giving up the ghost (well...it's eating tape). After reconditioning the rollers, I thought I'd as least get another year or two out of 'em, but its appetite for Maxell is proving me wrong. Any update on this cost-effective approach or is Terry's Rollers going to be getting a call?

I'd gamble the few bucks on the roller center replacement method first.

I seem to remember Rich P. saying something about the rollers not being flat but curved a bit? But if Doctor B. got good results (but I doubt he's got Rich P.'s cassette test stuff to check it out to factory level for wow, flutter etc.) go for it.
