Custom Bozaks in Denver

I just picked up a pair of AR4x from this guy. He's had these for 40years now and is getting some modern speakers. It sounds like he might be a motivated seller. The cabinets are beefy and very solid. They are in excellent condition but ready for some new finish.

Bozak B-302A speakers in custom cabinets.

I have owned these speakers since 1969, and they produce beautiful sound.

The cabinets are constructed of 3/4" mahogany-veneer plywood with mahogany trim on the front. The custom cabinets are larger than those sold by Bozak with the 302A configuration. The finish on the cabinets, and particularly the tops, shows its age and would benefit from refinishing.

At one time, I also had a pair of B-302A's in factory cabinets. I sold the factory pair because these sounded far better.

Cabinet Dimensions: 30"High x 24"Wide x 20" Deep

Each cabinet contains: 2 B-200Y Tweeters, 1 B-209 Midrange, 1 B-199A Woofer , 1 N-10102 Crossover

I recently rebuilt the crossovers and reconfigured the insides of the cabinets. The speakers sounded great before that, and sound even better now.

You will not find better sound for less money.

$350 for the pair.

Oh dear, I was afraid this might happen.

He's offered them to me for $100. He even said he could bring them to me next week. I can't say no. I hope they will sound great in my system.
 
$100 is a steal. But, I am fining in Denver here it is tough to get anythin out of our vintage gear. It seems we have mostly one market available to us now - the flippers. Put it low enough and yep it sells. Otherwise it will stay for sale for a bit. The only exception is if you have really, really, choice stuff.

Had I seen these, I would have prolly bought them at the $200 mark.

Good deal - now your gonna have to have an AK meet to show them off. You know it is the rules around here?:D

At $100 delivered, you got a heck of a deal. I'd not wait to have him deliver though, as someone could offer him 50% more and still come out a winner.
