Custom Wood Case for Sansui 7070?

Hi there friends!

I recently acquired a Sansui 7070 in beautiful shape. In sounds soooo good. The case is in very nice condition with no peeling at all. But, I can't help but to think how much nicer this piece would look if the veneer was lighter, blonde instead of brunette.

Is there anyone out there in Audio Karma land that could give a quote on a custom case for my 7070? I'd definitely be up for commissioning someone so I could have an alternative.

I had emailed this guy in Idaho some time ago he can make sansui cases as well if given deminsions or a sample case. Ken

This is probably the same guy who made a new case for my Sansui G901db receiver. Nice work too.

You are welcome, I was on the hunt for a wooden case for my 5000X which I gave to my daughters 5000A which didn’t come with one, I was planning on having him make one for me when I came across a factory original in the seattle area on CL for 40.00 just needed a little sanding wood putty, stain and a finish coat so I never did follow up his photos looked like he did nice work.
I’m always happy to pass on a good lead. Ken
