D-Link DL-524 wireless 150 router

I was trying to set up this router but I just can't seem to get access to the configurations, it says I have to type the ip address "http://192.168.0.1" but nothing happens.
I have double and triple checked all the cables and everything is in order as indicated in the manual.
Any ideas?

That's the right address for D-Link though, it's what I have. Mine is a DIR-615 according to the outside, but the PCB is marked DIR-635B inside, LOL. Have you tried hitting that reset button? I never use that, because everything resets when you unplug it for a couple minutes, but it's worth a try. I often need to reset it, when traffic is heavy in the neighborhood, or if it just gets too warm. I read on the net about some weird problems with the early versions of D-Link's wireless-N routers, but never really had them myself. They did release a new firmware (like a BIOS) for it, but that was about a year after I got it. Hopefully someone didn't turn it off or unplug it during a flash, now that I mentioned that. :scratch2:

I tried Echowars' suggestion but no response I then disassembled all the cabling and reconnected everything according to the manual, turned it on and gave it a try, nothing happened, then I pressed the reset button and waited 10 seconds and again no luck.
I'm going to take it back to the store where I bought it.

I took the D-LINK router back to the store and traded it for a TP-LINK WR-542G.
Works perfectly and I was able to setup the network in less than 30 minutes!

Cool. :thmbsp: Yeah, I've heard good & bad about most companies' networking gear, so it probably just comes down to luck of the draw, when you buy. :dunno:

Strange, never heard a single GOOD thing about D-Link :D

Current model Netgear and Linksys are super simple to set up with basic settings, but sometimes tweaking can bring out the real magic.
