D130 question.....

So, I have an empty David Beatty console and was hoping to install some decent full range drivers in there without dropping too much money.
I finally found some D130 but they have been reconed. The guy did tell me it was done in 2006 and appears to be a good job.
He says they sound great and says I can go listen to them. I will do that but was curious what anyone can tell me regarding these cones. These are ribbed rather than the smooth original.

Thanks for any insight.

Not D130 cones and not a very good install. You should see the tinsel leads next to an aluminum dome, but they were redomed with oversized paper domes. This is not to say that they don't sound good, only that they are not correct.

I appreciate the input. These are a little much for me to buy and then have new cones installed. I will most likely wait unless someone knows an inexpensive source for parts. I think Weber but I would need a list and I’m not certain it’s worth going that route.

Not original at all. They may sound better to some folks. It takes special enclosure and tuning to get the best performance out of an original D-130.
