DAC Preventing Streaming Radio?

I've been a Radio Paradise fan for years. Previously, I streamed from my Windows 10 PC out through the headphone jack to my amplifier. Radio Paradise ran on either Chrome or Edge browsers.

Recently I installed a Topping D10s DAC between my PC and my amplifier and have enjoyed improved audio quality listening to my own FLAC files that are stored on my NAS and controlled via the laptop PC using a WASAPI plugin to the Media Monkey player for bit perfect transport.

The problem is that I no longer can hear streaming radio via the aforementioned setup. Is there something I need to do to? To repeat, I'm trying to play Radio Paradise via either Edge or Chrome on a Windows 10 laptop. The output is via USB to my DAC and, in turn, to my amplifier.

Is the issue that I need to find some way for audio played via Edge and / or Chromium to bypass the PC's internal DAC / sound card so that a digital signal is received at my external DAC? If not that, any other suggestions? I don't want to have to buy a separate streaming device.

[BTW, I can no longer hear YouTube audio either so it's not just a Radio Paradise issue]

If you have an external DAC, why are you not using it? If not. Why not? USB DAC's are available for $20 to $20K. IME even the really inexpensive ones sound a lot better than the onboard chip in a PC.

I use most of the major browsers. Radio Paradise is a permanent tab in Edge. I use a Topping D-10 in my bedroom headphone system.

I'm not sure what you mean by saying you're using the headphone jack. Macs frequently have a combination 1/8" and optical connector. IME most PC's do not. If you're using a Mac I'll bow out.
 
I haven't used Windows in many years, at home at least. And, I'm not sure I'm exactly clear on what is going on here. But it sounds like you reconfigured Windows to output audio to your DAC when you put the DAC in the chain. However, your browsers don't seem to be configured correctly to use the DAC for audio out.

I'd start with checking Chrome's audio settings. See if that helps.
 
JoeESP9: If you re-read carefully, you will learn that:
  1. I AM using the external DAC
  2. I PREVIOUSLY was using the headphone jack BEFORE purchasing and using the external jack (which is now connected to my PC via USB)
  3. I specifically mentioned Windows 10 which means I AM NOT using a Mac.

I've done a bit more testing to see if I can figure out the origin of the issue. The short story is it seems to have fixed itself. It may be a result of me testing to see if the same issues result from using Foobar2000 as the player for local FLAC files. In doing so, I chose to use WASAPI for the first time within Foobar2000. Perhaps having selected this somehow fixed the WASAPI plugin so that it works with my browsers. Anyway, I now can switch back and forth among Foobar2000, Media Monkey, Radio Paradise, YouTube, and more without problems.

And it was worth the time spent. Radio Paradise - which always sounded surprisingly good - sounds even better now played via the external DAC. Thanks for your assistance, AK users!

FWIW: I'm strictly a Windows user. Sometimes it does things that defy description. My sisters laptop decided there were no wi-fi connections available. It worked fine using an RJ45 connector. I had to do a Win10 update to make it recognize wifi.

Hell yeah, I read somewhere that that the average computer DAC chip is worth less that $5.00. No typo, that's five bucks.
 
To play from a browser your DAC needs to be set as the default Windows audio device for starters. Then if you’re using Foobar to play through Wasapi exclusive mode you may need to close Foobar to let the sound from the browser to reach the DAC, exlusive is just that a player using it monopolizes the audio device in use.
