Dahlquist DQ-10's in DE - great price

Probably early needing caps and all sorts of stuff. Seems like a decent price. DQ-10s seem to have gone up in price recently unless someone is selling, then the prices seem about the same as the part few years. We talk em up but then some sit on BT with just a few nibbles.

What are the current correct prices for these in the different states:
old good shape needing caps
newer mirror-imaged needing caps
rebuilt with caps, mirror-imaging if needed and ready to play?

Seems the refoam of the woofers would require a price reduction on the first two but that is not that difficult. Missing parts, no stands and such can drop the price, but stands can be made. The missing back covers and grilles would be harder to make correctly.

Easy to recap these, since the crossovers are not in the cabinet; just remove the screen and start soldering.

What I am seeing around my area is mid to upper 300's for 10's in decent shape. Doesn't seem to matter price-wise if they are mirrored or not. "Fresh foam" usually pushes it to over 400. I haven't seen a single pair than mentioned the crossovers. The prices have been more than I am willing to pay in the first place so I never have asked about crossover work. On top of that, what is for sale are few and far between. In all of Atlanta CL, there has only been 1 paid for sale the last month or so!

As far as BT, I have been keeping an eye out but nothing has popped. EastPoint had a pair up first of the month but they are in Milwaukee which doesn't really help since I am in Georgia :(

At 200, I would be all over these in DE if I were close enough for it to make sense.

Got an email back from the seller. These are refoamed, woofer and midrange, recapped with PE lytics to replace the original lytics. They have the feet shown and no optional stands. All drivers work and the grille cloth is in very good shape, no snags and such. The back grilles are in place. He also has the OM, receipts for parts and foams and such.

Further info, they are sold. Might have been a deal for speakers to use and not go the Regnar way and dump an original MSRP into upgrade parts for them. Wonder how much improvement one gets with these kits over a properly functioning near original speaker as these probably are?

The mids need to be refoamed??

He probably meant the "Lower Midrange" as the driver is called in the Dahlquist brochure I have from back in the day. That one does have a rubber surround and the rubber surrounds on my Luxman MS-10s needed to be redone a number of years ago as did the pair that were on AK getting redone recently.
