I guess those laws of reaping and sowing are real after all. It's been a busy and stressful couple of weeks selling, packing, and shipping items to fund a visit to relatives in California. With all of that winding down, I still managed to keep an eye posted on our CL down here and grabbed two real bargains. You could say I have my cake and I'm eating it, too. The first of the week I snagged a mint Onkyo A-8190 for $50. Last night I did some horse trading for a pair of Polk RTA-12's that I figured would be nice for my brother as he couldn't get two pairs of JBL 4311's that I sold. My stop on the way home had me both grinning and shocked at my fortune: a near-mint pair of Eosone RSF 1000's for $100 - yep, 100 bucks! Wife said they had to go. After I got over the shock of the size, I looked closely to realize the owner wasn't kidding: these big babies are just about like new. No way to listen to them until I return in two weeks. I've seen mixed reviews, but I'm optimistic that with proper placement and setting of the subwoofer levels, these will be some fine sounding speakers. Until I return...
