I was wondering if anyone can recommend a repair shop? I have a 1960(ish) Magnavox Console stereo which has what I assume is a Collara turntable in it.

I no not think that use of repair service is financially viable - cost will exceed value of your unit. Best bet is DIY.

Normally all it needs is a good lubing, idle wheel replacement/reconditioning, and stylist replacement. Like the post above YouTube is your friend.

It's more about time and space than anything else. I replaced the cartridge and needle from a kit from thevoiceofmusic but no joy. I was rushed, cramped and fighting 2 toddlers... I will probably have to revisit it later
