G'day all, I woke up this morning to hear on the morning radio news of the passing of the great Australian Opera singer Dame Joan Sutherland. She was 83 apparently. 'La Stupenda'.

My family has quite a few of her vinyl recordings, so I think we'll be playing them as a tribute. A great loss to the world of Opera and music generally. RIP Dame Joan Sutherland. Regards, Felix aka catman.

I also have owned many of her opera works and have admired her for years. She will be sorely missed!

She was great. I had the pleasure to see her at the NY Met only once in the mid-80s in La Fille du Regiment with Alfredo Krause
It was an experience!
