Damping Factor

Well as you guys know I no nothing about amplifiers, speakers or audio in general. But I have for my own entertainment been trying to learn more by experimenting with an vintage kenwood receiver. Because I'm mainly interested in test equipment I have been trying to measure the amplifier parameters and check these against the manufacturers specifications.

So I was reading up on this forum and also the interweb and this is my first and no doubt amateurish attempt to understand Damping Factor and its relationships to amplifier output impedance. Have reviewed the footage I note I did not actually explain why the Damping occurred so I'm guessing a follow up may be on the cards.

This KR-2600 is like a soft old Labrador with a toddler in the house. I keep pulling its ears and sticking my fingers up its nose and it not bitten me yet. I actually feel sorry for it being connected to my three ohm speaker at full volume probably didn't help. Thanks for your comments

Thanks for the comment. Yes My wife say i write strangely. I could not write at all when I was young and taught myself much later in life, so I guess I did not learn the correct method. I picked up a computer keyboard quite young and always avoided hand writing. It held me back later at school as I couldn't take notes in class. Funny reading from a early age and have always been interested in literature. I mainly collect technical references book. I write all my alphabet from the bottom up as well. - Perhaps I should have my writing analysed, may explain why I killed all those people.
