So I recently just bought my first tube preamp, a Dared SL-2000A, really excited to get it up and running. I set it up the other day with my SS Amp, a Yamaha R-S202...I know it's not a good amp, and I knew before buying this preamp that I might have to change the amp out eventually.
So here's the thing, there is a crazy amount of hiss and hum, and my system plays at a very low volume even when I max the gain out on the Dared (which I know shouldn't be happening). Basically just wanted to get some advice from actual audiophiles, because I'm really just getting into this world and don't know a whole lot about what I'm doing!
