Dark Matter series

Anyone else out there watched this series called Dark Matter? It has only 13 episodes in the first season. I read somewhere that SciFy renewed it for a second season. I found this series quite good and was wondering if anyone else out there has seen it. For me, I saw it on Netflix.

I found it just good; hope they step it up next season. The minimum writing standard for SyFy should be Farscape and no less.

I like it so far, although many of the episodes do cover many of the generic sci fi plots (time travel, alternate realities etc).

I really liked the first season but they split up the group quite a bit for too much of the second season. With the group split up there wasn't as much of the fun interplay between the different characters.

There is, or WAS another show that featured the "Out There" kind of stuff..It had a narrator who was a trifle on the weird side of normal. He looked to be a rather BIG guy, wore black suits, black vest, black shirt, & had a rather pronounced Canadian accent .. . The guy was seemingly Nice enuf, but I don't think I'd wanna walk down a dark alleyway w/him. Canada must be a LOT less expensive than Wallyhood is, so many programs are apparently shot there..

I believe the stargate series was shot in Canada as well, or at least some of the seasons were.
