I know nothing technical about the DLK's but lotsa' friends had them up here and used to crank the heck out of them. I'm thinking 100 w. a side wouldn't do them that bad. If you have a meter check the resistance across the terminals. It'll give you an idea of what they'll do combined with the Sansui.

Are they 4 ohm?

ddragg1 says they're 4ohm 80watts speaks. Funny thing is the dlk address is less than a mile from me - I'll have to drive by there one of these days just to see what's there now.

I told my wife that they were manufactured here - she wasn't all that impressed.

Nice looking DLKs. Great find at Goodwill! I have all the models made, including the Model 4. Just started collecting after my father gave me the
1 1/2s 10 years ago or so. I just found them at good prices.

I am completly new at modifying and I am willing to do this. I've been reading about replacing "caps"?? in the crossover. Is there something that educate me on this? Even on this site? How would I know if they are in need of replacing?

Well, in my case, the caps looked like a soda can that got left in the freezer...the ends had bulged and literally exploded - plus the speakers didn't work.

Utilize the search feature and you'll find lots of threads on recapping speakers. :thmbsp:
