I recently bought a dbx 1bx dynamic range expander and it’s in very good shape but when I plugged in the right channel makes a lot of static and I’ve cleaned all the switches and replaced the power supply caps and it still persists not sure what to do any clues?

"static" or "snap crack pop" noise added by a vintage device is most-often caused by:

  1. dirty potentiometer (volume, balance, tone controls)
  2. one or more small signal transistors "going bad"

Since you've eliminated #1, then next step would be to look at your schematic and check to see if any of the transistors in the signal path appear on the "transistors known to go bad" list
