Hello everyone!- So, I just bought this 100 pound monster. Problem is, I'm getting the feeling that I'm the only one on the planet that has one..Anyone here own one????. While searching the amp online, there's only been one or two people that have ever owned one...I know I'll need to fix a few quirks, and any guidance would be much appreciated.
This amp is way too interesting for me not to restore..
Thanks again.

I don't own one but I've always liked the build of the amp ,the internal lay out is gorgeous & should be an easy fix for any tech,it's always reminded me of the Sumo amps, more like Sumo copied the DBX ,I have 2 DBX 20/20s and 1 DBX 10/20 EQ along with prolly a dozen various models of Dynamic range Expanders & noise reduction units ,everything I've ever had by DBX has been a superior design & build quality that can only be equaled & not beaten .

know this is long old, but did you ever get this thing firing//enjoy it. I've been casually looking for a more mega amp than my aragon 8008 (although I am not really sure why) and this totally fits the bill as i like heavy metal boxes and not digital amps, etc.

Remember seeing this at the CES show in 1986/87 and it was big. Power output kind of like the Sumo amp The Power. But the biggest amp at the show was the Krell Ref. 200 watt mono pure class A the size of small refrigerators. Still have the pictures.
I wish I would have taken the deal of $1000.00 for the BX1 after the show closed.

I've got a BX3 with matching preamp. I got rid of it once, but got it back.
Don't sell your BX1, hold onto that boat anchor and rock out!
