Thanks so much..i lurk much but don't post enough..i will keep that tip in mind..btw Zenter56 did reply back to me and he is still in the process of rebuilding his Soundfield 10's...i on the other hand will soon come into a complete and working set..looking very forward to trying them. Alas there seems to be a dearth of literature on these behomoths so if anybody is reading this..."help please"... lol..thanks

Replying to a one year old post! I have a pair of SF10's I haven't used in 20 years. When I found a way to use them fouind the woofers needed refoaming. Had that done and connected them up. As I said it's been 20 years but what was apparent was (and not to my recolleciton when I last used them), was the significant attenuation in signal level when the equaliser was switched into the circuit. Without the equaliser they are unlistenable. With it, the balance is corrected but the volume level drops so much I have to crank up the volume control on my receiver to almost max to get a decent sound level.

Hey Ichiu7!..I stopped looking at this post some time back but hopefully you pick this up..That is strange you need that much power to drive them..what were you using and did you follow the instructions?.. I think I have a pdf if needed..ttyl
