DBX Soundfield 10 Speakers

Hello

I have a set of DBX Soundfield 10s that I am restoring and was wondering if anybody has a wiring diagram or pictures of how the cross overs are wired. I have the owners manual, but it does not have the wiring diagram. My speakers have the controller, which I would also like to find a wiring diagram for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, no info.

I had no idea that dbx made speakers. I did a little looking around and they are really cool!

You can probably figure out the crossover with a visual examination but the eq will be much harder if not impossible.

Maybe contact dbx or authorized service centers and ask about the drawings?

I have a pair of SF10's also but they haven't been used for years. This is because the controller is designed to be inserted into the tape monitor loop of a receiver and most modern receivers don't have this connection since the signal in the receiver is digital until it reaches the power amps. And my controller died when I last tried it. The only way to get the equaliser into the signal path is to either find a receiver that has preamp out and mains connections on the back or use a separate pre-amp and power amp. As for the connection, ths is pretty easy. Just feed the output from the pre-amp into the input of the SFC10 and feed the output into your power amp.

I am looking to see how the cross over is wired inside the speakers, which color wire goes to which driver. Is it possible to get pictures of your speaker internals? Just wondering if both speakers are wired the same inside?
