That's a screamin' deal. :yikes: I'm hoping an AK'er got these nice pieces.

Best,

Anyone else out there suspect some of these CR-3020(and other 1980s and similar pieces) for dirt cheap that disappear immediately and no one ever gets a response back isn't anything more than someone having some fun?
Or the ones that stay up for the full 45 days on CL, yet not one person ever heard from them?

I know some are legitimate but some of these "deals" seem too good to be true and I wonder if they're a new phishing attempt...

If you got excited over a steal of a deal for $100...

Are you going to send the safer anonymous email/message of "Hi, I am interested in your item for sale, please get back to me with contact deals, thanks."

Or, do you wig out and shoot off an email asap as fast as you can type that says "Hi, I'm really interested in your item, My full name and address is and I am legit and please consider shipping I will pay. BTW my mother's maiden name is, and my SS# and my firstborn are...OMG please respond ASAP."

Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I see some of these steal of a deals as another scam attempt, or just bored people having fun.

Out of curiousity, how do you contact people?

Cautiously, or overly excited and spewing a wealth of information?

On the Boston C/L there are some pranksters that put up items of considerable value for short $$$.

What I do when responding to any C/L ads is use my Hotmail account, and give my cell phone #. This way it's fairly difficult to get too much information one doesn't want out there.

I don't know, but to me vintage audio listing on CL are nearly as valid as these lonely women ads in the personals there. There are sooooo many really good looking, smart, fun, independent, great women looking for love on CL makes you wonder how much of that is real and what is REALLY wrong with them.

So when I see a really good deal on CL I'm always very wary how good it actually is. I bought 10 boxes of LPs on CL for a 150 bucks (about 900 LPs), I think there is maybe 100 LPs of any marginal value there, so in the end I can say to mayself that I did OK, but on the other hand I think all I really did is paid a guy a 150 bucks to remove a load of junk out of his house (which is now occupying space in my garage).

I'm still not sure if I really wanted or needed these 100 LPs that are OK, or if I'd get 150 bucks for them on e-pay??? A place where you can post anything for free will attract all kinds of weirdos, and sometimes I think that people use it to collect valid e-mail addresses to sell to spammers (now, there is a business idea)...
