DCM Time Frame TF350

Tuvac

Sitting on a cornflake
I just picked up a pair of used DCM TF350's and was wondering how good a deal I got. The original owner bought them in /91, used them for about a year then put them in storage. I bought them from her, got them in their original boxes & in pristine shape. I took them home & hooked them up to my Rega Elex & wow, I'm very surprised at how transparent, yet not shy they are :music:
I payed $150 CDN for them & wondered if I got a fair shake on price :scratch2:

The price was maybe a touch high, but not enough to rate a thumbs down. You got a great sounding speaker at a reasonably fair price. Remember that the TF 350s have foam surrounds so it will need a refoam sometime soon I suspect.

+1, but if they are in top condition, that closes the gap a bit in my book. Best of all, you didn't have to pay for shipping or worry about what United Package Smashers might do to them while in transit.

Thanks guys, for your thoughts. I've had a closer look at the surrounds & they appear to still be in great shape for the time being. Being as old as they are, I can see that changing in the near future though. I've heard of better deals on this make but my ears are happy & that's groovy ;o)_~
On next to restoring a set of Clements RB-8.0. Looks like a challenge considering all the info online concerning them

I just recently swapped out my TF350's for Genesis 310's and am kinda missing them. There was something in the way they reproduced the human voice. These speakers never drew any attention to themselves and seemed very seamless and balanced. Not a crank-em-up rock speaker but for Jazz and Vocal-centric music a very good mid-level speaker. I think you will enjoy them. Good listening, Brad.
