DCM Time Window 1a's, two sets, very different sound and internals, anyone else ran into this?

Have thoroughly enjoyed my 1a's for many years. Run them with a PSAudio stellar 300 amp and tube preamp for a little "color". Sound staging just amazing...As of late, Stevie Nicks voice began sounding a bit hmmm rough...not pleasing as she always has been for me. I also run a Driverack PA 2 that auto equalizes for me. To no avail, Stevie just wasn't coming thru nicely.
So, I purchased a second set of 1a's as I can't imagine being without them for any amount of time. Second set looked very new (inside and out) compared to my old beat up set. I plugged them in. They don't sound as good. Soundstage shrunk, way more bass...too much. Auto equalized, played with crossovers to subs to lessen bass on 1a's. Just not the same.
Opened up both my prior set and the new ones. Different. The mid woofers in my first set are part# 22570 8 ohm. The new set 160w1503 7.5 ohm. Tweeters "Viva 07's" same in both. One port in each. Crossovers mounted in different places, new set on interior sidewall, old set on bottom plate. The copper windings on the old set are wound with way bigger diameter copper compared to the new set. Like roughly 8-10 times the diameter.
Disappointed to say the least. From what I have read there were changes made as these speakers were made. I would like to have two pair of great sounding 1a's.
Question is, and yes I am naïve about the these things, Are the two crossovers interchangeable due to the difference in ohms on the mids? Would the crossovers be the first guess as to why I lost the super sound staging on the second set as compared to the first? Could the difference in the mids be the sound staging issue and deeper base issue? Due to the ohms? Or manufacturer?
Appreciate any bits of wisdom..

For what its worth here are autoeqs created by the Driverack PA2. Speakers behaving quite differently. All other variables the same. First are speakers that are working best, second the speakers I just picked up.

Well I haven't resolved the difference in the two speaker sets but....
I acquired a Mark Deneen ADC B100 Tube Preamp and swapped for my existing one...That fixed the issue. Amazing difference in soundstage, more transparent with longer decay on the vocals...
