DCM Time Windows value vs infinity column ii's.

Good day to all.

I have an opportunity to pick up some near mint time windows for $200. Should they be nabbed at this price?
They also have a set on infinity column ii's for $300.
Any thoughts on which is the "better" speaker?

Thanks y'all.

Don't have an opinion on the indignities, but time windows are my forever speakers. I have the 1'a model, what model are you looking at?

Asked the fella selling if the were the 1's or 1a's, his response was "the early ones".
My guess then is the 1's.

I like early TW better than the 1A. Had em since new. They produce way more sound than the selling price so they stay. So easy to place, so easy to move such a wonderful image no matter where you put them and one of the few speakers that sitting outside of one speaker you can still hear both speakers.

∞ $738 76-82
TW $660 in 1980, $797 in 84

Don't understand the low price of one and the high price of the other.

And as stated above you need these the TW.

I picked up a pair of TW for $80. Very good sounding speaker. Maybe better then the Polk SDA-1A and Vandersteen 2c I had.

Near mint.

However, bad news. Waited too long, and they are now gone. *sigh*.

Buy em when you see em I guess.
200 is a fair price for them. There are those that ask more and maybe they sit and folks that want way less and if in good shape go quickly. Some get them real cheap because the foam grille material can fall apart making them look bad.

Sorry for your loss. Maybe another pair will show up soon enough.

Interesting. I have a pair of TW1 nude with a chipped top I picked up for $100 and a pair of beatup but great sounding SDA2 for the same price, neither of which I have had the time to play with and move into the living room rotation. I have plans to fix up both but no time.

Having owned three pair of Time Frames (600 and 400) I thought the TWs were not any more special. Like I said, I didn't give them the serious listen and they don't have the wrap.
