DCM TimeFrame 600's Right woofer rattle

Howdy Folks! I have a pair of the above mentioned speakers. Im wondering , do the woofers have rubber surrounds or foam?
My right speakers woofer is making a strange rattling sound, if I press very lightly on the right side of the surround through the grille cloth the rattle goes away.
Im thinking that maybe the glue has come loose around the surround in that area.. Ive read on this forum that taking these things apart can cause a mess.
Anyone have any input on this matter? Any and all input would be greatly appreciated..

Timeframes have rubber surround. I have 2 TF400s that are exhibiting a similar sound. It only hits at particular frequencies. I have not popped them yet as it is an occasional issue. Remember to knock the bottom off and roll the cloth upwards. If you go top down the cloth gets all stretched out. Please let us know what you find out, please.

Could be a couple things. I had Time Windows, and a woofer started rattling. Ends up the magnet had slightly shifted. An AKre fixed it for me, but I also found some for sale in BT and bought one. I kept the repaired woofer for a backup.
Could be the surround separated from the basket, or the spider could be separating. I just fixed two woofers in a set of Vandersteen 2s that rattled, and the spiders were completely separated from the basket. Just reglued them and need to reinstall for testing. Should be fine, I didn’t detect any VC rub.
Removing your woofers with the Black Death glue is pretty easy. It’s somewhat brittle with age, and may just break up when carefully prying them out, or you can ear it with a hair drier to soften it.

Good luck!
