DCM TimePiece Specs

Well finally off the road for a while and now have time to play with some new toys......

I picked up a pair of DCM TimePiece speakers for the rear pair in my all DCM HT. Nice compact little speaker with good sound. I am looking for some specs on them though. My search here seem to indicate they have a 6 1/2 inch woofer but even shining a light through the grill cloth I can't confirm. There is no grill to remove so all I could really see is a wire mesh screen and a port. Is there a tweeter mounted behind the woofer? I did go to the DCM website and there is no manual listed for this older version of TimePiece. Any info would be appreciated.

I know what you mean. I was ignorant of DCM unril about 2 months ago. The TimePieces are from what I can tell their smallest offering and there does not seem to be much out there on them. I was hoping someone here had a manual or access to a manual.

Well I have had these hooked up now for a couple of days and for their size they are pretty good even though I do not have them sitting in optimal listening position. They have the usual good imaging/depth of DCM speakers and pretty decent bass given their size. Not as good as the TF series but I would highly recommend them as fronts in a small bedroom/office set up or surrounds in HT.

Got a reply from DCM today.
They sent me a copy of the owner's manual.
I can't attach it but I would willing to e-mail it to any Timepiece owner's who are interested. Brief recap;

It's nice to know that there is some info on these speakers, as I have a pair that have absolutely no highs, only some muffled mid-bass.

It would be nice to find out how to open them up to check out the insides . . . :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Actually the half time is the smallest in that family, i had a set with a matching subwoofer. The halftime's are about 1/2 the size of a timepiece if i am not mistaken. using a 6 1/2" woofer and a coaxial mounted tweeter. The enclosure was not much taller than the woofer mounted in it. They were acoustic susupension not ported or transmission line.
