I picked up a pair of Carver Amazing Originals for $85 back in November, so I know the feeling ...of reeling in a crazy deal AND realizing that a bigger amp is needed.

I've been happy using a Crown CTs 2000 amp since March. It puts out 1000 wpc into 2, 4, and 8 ohms and it really wakes up the Carvers.

Maybe there's someone local who can bring over an amp or two to put the AL's through the paces?
