Thanks.. That PL-7 really surprised me.. A decent little deck... No SL-1200 or Thorens but no slouch either!

Restraint, Josh. You're trying to thin the herd.

I think the 4000 receiver will stay...Its so damn clean and sounds great without 5000 model issues. Will sit nicely between Sui Eight & QRX-9001

IF there was pre sale advertising, hope the seller changed their listing and removed any mention and images that were no longer available due to cherry picking early sales.

Stereo gear is not regularly advertised for sale here so any listing with stereo gear pique my interest.
A few years ago a listing mentioned several vintage pieces including some receivers.
When I arrived none were there so I asked about them.
Seller said "some guy called me during the week then came and bought them".

[nolasally]

Yeah they didn’t change their listing. I’m sure they got a few calls about gear before there sat sale. Anyone who came to sale on sat expecting to buy said gear would have likely cherry picked and left low hanging fruit and paid little for what they took. Considering I took it all I’d say both parties left happy.

2 left happy, wonder how many (if any) were disappointed.
I think it sucks IF there were advertised times and dates for the sale as well as images and items mentioned that were no longer available at the start of the first day of the sale.

@goodolpg This wasn’t an estate sale. It was a cl ad for upcoming yard sale. No pics. Listed stereo equipment as turntable, amplifier and speakers. They had a phone number listed and I called for details. They then stated it was all older stuff and had a rtr as well. I drove that day 75mi round trip to look at gear. Brought cash and made a deal. Do I concern myself of others feelings for not picking up the phone and doing the same as I did?? Hell no! The early bird gets the worm.
