Decreased volume in one La Scala speaker after bumping rca jacks on amp

Hello fellow Akers

I come here today for some help identifying what in the heck I could have possibly destroyed on my La Scala after I bumped an rca input on my amp and made it pop and crack louder than $h!t!

I noticed that right after that there was a huge decrease in volume compared to my other speaker. So, I’m wondering: did I damage the drivers? The crossover? Both? What will I need to do to repair the issue?

You broke something. Diagnose it to find out what isn't right. You have two channels, one isn't right, one seems to be so is it the amp or the speaker...try swapping the speaker wire side to side and evaluate.
 
I was using MC30 mononlocks for each channel, then I switched to a Marantz 170DC yo verify and still the same issue. I switched speaker wires and still same problem
 
OK, now same problem, is that a dead channel in the amp the preamp or the speaker? If all the bad channel was the same speaker all the time, the speaker needs to be looked at since you have used the wire from the good speaker on the bad speaker and the speaker is still bad.

Next is to evaluate each driver. Use a paper towel tube to isolate a driver and give em each a listen. Is one bad, low in output, not working? Crossovers usually don't mind a bit of extra crap coursing through them but the drivers might not like it.

Used that trick on the k-77 horn tweeter and although it’s operating it seems to be doing so with less volume than other speaker. Stuck my head in the squawker horn and same issue, volume at a reduced level. Stuck my head in the dog house, the area where the folded woofer is and also hearing low volume and decreased punchiness/low end
 
I don't know that speaker but based on what you're saying I would be checking the crossovers. Maybe a resistor has popped, or some kind of protection fusee if that model has them.
 
with all drivers not right, first I have to confirm you did use the good channel speaker wire on that speaker and still bad. Then the crossover but I don't know what is going to take out all drivers in the crossover. More investigation is needed.

I have a hard time believing you damaged all three drivers. Possible, I think.
 
start with the input and verify it is still attached properly. Then whatever is close and easy. Might have to resort to swapping parts with the other speaker to find damage but with all drivers dying, maybe the crossover.
 
If all the drivers are affected, it makes sense to check the common point of potential failure - the crossover. Post pics if it helps and we can advise what to look for.
