Dedicated CD player VS "Hi-Res Audio" BluRay player

I just purchased the Cambridge AXR100 and Klipsch RP-600M for 2.0 listening in a 25'x14' living room. Below is a breakdown of listening usage by percent.
CD Music - 15%
Streaming Music - 35%
TV - 40%
Movie - 10%

I want a CD player, so I can put an album on and jam or relax, with the TV off. For a newbie (myself) in this market, a $350+ CD player sounds expensive. I also maybe in the market for a BluRay player. BestBuy currently has the LG UBK90 BluRay player, it has Digital Optical Out. The AXR100 has an internal DAC.

Would a $350+ CD player have noticeably better audio for my listed audio gear?

Your Cambridge AXR100 seems to already have a very capable DAC inside, so really you just need a transport. In that case, basically any CD player or Blu-ray player will serve this purpose just fine. Simply plug it into the AXR100 using one of the digital connections and enjoy.
 
In my 2 channel system, I am using a Samsung 4k Blue Ray player with Wifi, blue tooth as a transport. I selected the Samsung because it decodes flac files, and I stream via wifi from my music server. I have ripped my CD's to flac. I connected the optical Toslink to my pre-amp, from there to an active crossover and bi-amped my ADS 1230's. The Samsung does some music streaming services, but as if yet, I'm not streaming from any service.

If, there is any improvements in quality to be had flac vs CD vs streaming services, I dont here it. All in all, I'm happy as I can be, and maybe one day, I'll upgrade the transport. By the way, I'll use the samsung menus for streaming from my music server projected to an 85 inch tv via HDMI cable.
