Anyone remember this 1981 album from the late rock legend? Fantastic effort that has gone sadly overlooked. It produced one Top 40 hit for Del, a cover of “Sea of Love,” but the rest of the songs are just as terrific. It was produced by Tom Petty, and featured the Heartbreakers as Del’s backing band, and it really shows. The album has a real rockin’ feel reminiscent of Tom’s best work from the period, and Del sounds awesome. IMHO it’s Shannon’s best studio album and one of the best rock LPs of the early ‘80s. It’s unfortunate that most listeners considered Del an oldie has-been by this point, because the album definitely deserved a far better fate. HIGHLY recommended. :thmbsp:
