Yes, I've heard of them. They are better known as white van speakers. Stay away from them!!!

I saw a pair of these at Goodwill the other week. When I saw "digital ready" on the back I figured they were white vans. Very nice-looking speakers, but presumably trash. Goodwill wanted $25 apiece, and they were gone the next day.
