Denon 2900 two channel connections help please

Firstly, I apologize if this issue has been covered in a prior post but I could not find it on my search.

I am attempting to connect my new to me Denon 2900 universal dvd, sacd, etc. player to my Yamaha CA 2010 integrated amp. There are four pairs of RCAs ( rf, lf, center, and s ), plus digital co-axil, and optical on the 2900 and of course the typical tape, aux, tuner etc. RCAs on the CA 2010.

Can someone recommend how I should connect the two? I only intend to listen to two channel cd, sacd, and perhaps dvd a. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Cheers
Joe

Are there a set of stereo outputs, or maybe something labeled Lt/Rt?

If you connect to the main Left and Right outputs, anytime you're listen gin to something that has surround information (SACD, DVD movies, etc) you'll only hear the decoded Left and Right signals from the Lf and Rf jack.

Lt and Rt stands for Left and Right TOTAL which is the complete, undecoded output

In the menu settings on the Denon there's an option for a simple L and R two-channel connection. You will probably have to temporarily connect it to a tv screen to make the initial settings though.

Thanks for the ideas guys. It does not have LT and RT but Prisoners has the answer. My machine did not come with a manuel and I have not yet printed one from online so I was just a little too eager to try this unit out.

I really appreciate both responses. Thanks

I have a 2900 that I use as my ONLY CD player - only for SACD's actually since all my other CD's are on my PC. As Prisoners said, in the menu select STEREO (use aa temp tv to see the on screen menu), then you actually have 2 sets of front outputs. F1 and F2. I use F1, but they are both the same. The SACD sound on these 2900's are simply amazing. These are some of the best SACD playback units around. You'll have no desire to upgrade until the unit dies. BTW, there is a firmware update that allows better subwoofer management control. If you can't find it on Denon's website I can send it to you. You burn it onto a CD and then just play the CD in the player.

Thanks Jimmy I have to either drag the unit home or a TV to the office but by monday I plan on enjoying my first ever SACD listening experience on my Yamaha CA2010 pushing my '77 Cornwalls. I cannot wait. Have a great Holiday.

Cheers
