Denon Afficionados?

I am a new fan of Denon"s cassette offering in the DR-Mxx HX 3 head design. Solid and stable performers that have a high quality sound....tough too.

Do you have the set in your avatar? if so it´s the third I´we seen in Europe besides mine and another Danes.

hi,

In my avatar is a different set visible, it's my incredible PRA 1003 and POA 1003 pre/power amplifiers. this is in a quite different league.
Indeed rare in the Netherlands.

PRA 1003 and POA 1003

These pre and power amplifiers are rarely available for sale at the internet. They pop-up once a year on the internet and mostly for high prices. It took me nearly 6 years to buy the POA 1003 power amplifier for a reasonable price after I found the PRA 1003.
But it is the best amplifier I have!

Denon PMA 530

Hi,

And this is the final purchase (according my wife) to my collection of Denon gear, a Denon PMA 530.
It is part of a stack of Denon gear, together with a tuner TU 520, cassettedeck DR 450 and a turntable DP30L. Not bad at all :-)
The PMA 530 can be compared to a PMA 510, just a little more power. Internally they are quite different. The PMA 530 is heavier (11kg) and have a large torodial transformer.

My recently acquired Denon POA-3000ZR Power Amplifier. An amazing piece of kit.

Congratulations. I have a PRA-2000Z and a POA-3000Z. Now a days the POA-3000Z is spending its days powering my passive subwoofers as my Accuphase P-800 moved in as the number one amplifier.

Hi, I'm a recent Denon convert. Picked up a PMA-720 in a scrap yard about to be crushed no less! Paid 7 bucks for it (50 cents a pound), took it home and checked it out. It's now in my system as my main amp. Love the sound and build quality. I'm on the look out now for some of there other stuff thanks to this thread. That POA-3000ZR looks stunning! Gotta love the big meters like that.
Question, how do those turntables work? I've never seen anything like that. Do you purchase your own arm assembly?
Thanks

BillWojo

I love what little Denon gear i have so far: a DCD-1290 Cd player, DRS-810 Casstte deck and a DP-2000 turntable with a Infinity black widow & Signet TK9E I'm a Yamaha And DBX aficionado always have n always will, but Denon sure has impressed me with these pieces. now i just need to find me a nice pre & power setup from Denon.

I am still rocking my Denon DRA-550 I bought at Magnolia on Roosevelt in Seattle in 1985. I love that little unit, and it has seen me through many years of good service, pushing the Dahlquist DQM5's I bought with it. The original Yamaha cd player and Nakamichi BX-1 deck have long since failed and gone away.
