Denon AVR Series

I am currently looking at possibly getting a Denon AVR series surround sound unit if I can get one within my price range. I am curious what you guys can tell me about 3 different models I am considering and then maybe reccomend 1 or 2 other brands/models that can usually be gotten under 100.00. Now I only know a little about Denon itself. I only know they have been around for quite sometime, they usually produce good equipment and there stuff is not cheap, but I have no clue how it compares to other brands. Thanks.
The three Denon units I'm considering are:
AVR-1705, AVR1802 and AVR-1506

These appear to be older units with no HDMI. While better than nothing you may want to find a unit with HDMI 2.0. Check out accessories4less. Sony, Denon & Yamaha have good reps. These units need a lot of ventilation.

I figured they were older, which is fine by me as long as they perform well. I have no need for one with HDMI passthrough as I am still using an older TV. It's a Hi Def but still a CRT, even if I had a TV with mutiple HDMI ports, I have never ran video though a receiver in the past and likely wouldn't currently unless I was low on TV inputs. I first started looking at some Sony units, which I would still consider but rather go Denon if I can find one in the same price range. I haven't looked at Yamaha yet, but know they are good too.

HDMI is useful even if you don't run video through your stereo to your TV because it allows you to watch movies in DTS HD and Dolby TrueHD which are "lossless" compression. I'd also suggest checking out accessories4less for a more recent model unless you can get your older models for $50 or less.

I checked out that website, I can't even come close to finding anything in my price range. Most of the Denon units were around 75.00 to 80.00. Some of the Sony units were 50.00-70.00. All the units looked super nice and didn't look too awfully old, as they had Component passthroughs in them, which is what I'm using for HD programming. Before I make a move on a unit, I'll post in Dollars & Sense to be sure I'm not paying too much.
