I found a Denon Dr-F6 cassette deck at a garage sale for $25.00. After spending an hour putting a new idler wheel into it, aligning and adjusting it, this deck is really sweet! I would say it's the last series they made with analog meters. It is 3 head, direct drive, single capstan. Built like a tank. Wow and Flutter measured .03%! Record playback response was -3dB at 19KHz. Sounds really great, I can't tell the difference between the source and playback.
I have replaced my Denon DRM-710 with it. If anyone wants a really great deal on the DRM-710 it's going cheap! Low hours and it comes with spare pinchrollers and belt. $25 plus shipping.
