Denon CEOL RCD-N12

Here we go.

I need some help. I sold off all my old gear a couple years ago including my old Walnut Advent speakers. My hearing is not what it used to be so we are looking for something small. I have several hundred vinyl records, a bunch of CD's as well as all the music I have purchased off iTunes. My den is 14' x 21'. I have been looking at the Denon CEOL RCD-N12 which includes a single slot CD player and a Denon DP-400 Turntable. I need a speaker recommendation. I have been out of touch with the market for years and like some suggestions for a couple of small speakers to match with the Denon.

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Some specs here that might help in speaker selection

The specs say 65w/ch. into 4 ohms- which is probably going to mean between 35-40w/ch into 8 ohms.

You'd want something reasonably efficient. As efficiency is usually inversely proportional to speaker size (given the same bass response, a smaller speaker will be less efficient, and vice-versa), we need to know- how small is "small"? Are we talking mini-monitors, or small floor-standing speakers, or something in between?

Regards,
Gordon.

Thanks for the reply Gordon,

I have uploaded the area in my den I am dealing with as well as a couple screenshots from Crutchfield; the TV is going up on the wall. The dimensions of the top surface measure 59" x 19". Before I go too far, I'd like to say I am not married to the Denon; I like it because it has the CD player and it's small profile. I am also looking at a Denon DP-400 turntable.

My bride of 45 years is not a fan of big speakers anymore. I was thinking about Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-600M Speakers on a set of stands. She would like something that sits on the tabletop, but smaller. The Klipsch SPL-120 Sub is also a possibility.

Thanks for taking the time!!
