Denon DCD 1560 or 1500 question

I currently have a DCD 1500 with original remote and I really like it. I have access to a DCD 1560 without remote and I have a few questions.

Would the DCD 1500 original remote work with the DCD 1560? The variable output is very key for me thus the question.

I haven't listened to the DCD 1560 so anyone who has owned or heard both what is your opinion on which is the better of the 2.
