DENON DNM2300R Double Minidisc for DJs

I found one one of these from a tech warehouse in Austria that is still new [NOS] in its original box. I am getting geared up to run a little community radio programme, and I have about 200 blank minidiscs sitting around at present doing nothing so I figured what the heck - this could be fun.

I have a Sony MDS E12 that is slightly higher spec'd which I will use for recording. This unit is very similar spec wise to the DN 991R, Denon's top of the range broadcast MD Recorder, with the notable absence of XLR ins and outs. The 2300R has RCA and SPDIF.

I have managed to find the manual on-line, as I wait for the unit to arrive, but little information elsewhere. Does anyone here have any experience with these and comments they would like to share?

Nice find. Sorry I can't help you at all on information on that model. I assume you've already checked out the page for this model at www.minidisc.org.

I found a commercial grade DENON MD machine recently, but it needs to be checked out by a tech before I call it a keeper. (It has a C2 error but there isn't a disk inside.)
