denon dp-1000 question

as posted in the proper forum, I am negotiating a price on a DP-1000 with a nice looking plinth, S arm and an unknown cart.
One poster to that thread said the specs were low on this tt.
If everything else is good, can the 1000 likely be replaced with a better Denon assembly from a DP-35f?
And, would that be a better table?

Not sure what assembly you're talking about?
I don't believe there is a 'better' assembly on a DP-35F, whether it's the motor~platter or the tonearm. It sorta depends on which tonearm is on the DP-1000 now.
 
Where did they get that information from? That is a very nice drive. Do an AK search and read the threads about the DP-1000 as there are a few of them. I don't think you'll find reference to poor specs, very much the opposite.

What is the specification for the Denon DP-1000 turn table according to this poster?

went to look at the deck. It did not wow me, so showed the couple where to look for the model number. Turned out to be a 1700 w.
Did get a couple Chick Corea albums, so not a total waste. And found a Clark Terry/Bob Brookmeyer cassette at Value World on the way home for a minor score.
