Denon DP-23F(47F) IR3T03 micro processor

A friend of mine dug out this machine and it is not working of course... It is fully computerized, there is no switches except the on/off one. When turned ON the platter spins accepting correctly both speeds - 33 and 45, but nothing else. All commands - Start, Stop, Arm UP/DOWN, Repeat, and Auto return are not acceptable.
There are two ICs on the board, the first one operating the main motor and speeds, the other one operating the arm horizontal/vertical move, start, stop, auto return. I suspect this chip is faulty. In the service book, part# is IR3T03, Denon part# 2630174003. I found the microchip for the speed motor IR3T02 but unfortunately couldn't find anywhere IR3T03. Denon page sais "no more available".
Does anybody have experience with this machine? What is the deferent between IR3T03 and IR3T02? Wandering if they are compatible with each other...
Also in the scheme, I noticed three electrolytes just before the Start input on the IR3T03, is it a good idea to recap these??

I've owned a few of these, far better perfoming little tables than most assume.

I'm sure you've checked out the switches by using deoxit or similar products, if not generous application can often fix the symptoms you describe.
About half the dp-23f, dp-15f I've aquired had a partial problem with this.
 
Thanks, Greenie! So you had similar issues with your turntables? Again mine start the plater spinning immediately after the ON button is pressed(without touching the Start button) a second after that the "locked" light present and the motor runs correctly with 33 speed. I can manually play a record but there is present a really good back(anti scatting) pressure to the tonearm and normal play is impossible - the needle jumps back after 2-3 grooves... As I said none of the other commands are possible - I heard the microswitches "click" without any result... Do you think spaying the microswitches with deoxit will help??

I also own a Denon DP47F. Mine is refurbished. I purchased it used in Japan earlier this year. I have read online that when the green lights flash at any time, it is an indication that the capacitors need to be replaced. Here is a link to a company that sells a replacement kit for all the capacitors in the unit. I found a VERY nice and useful post in VynilEngine page "Denon DP-23F Troubleshooting", so I'm going to follow what these guys have done. Already ordered photoresistors(GL5516) and electrolytes. Will post the result here ones I finish the project.
 
This an update regarding the problems with Denon DP-23F turntable. Following the instruction of VinylEngine forum guy John Paul I ordered and replaced all three photoresistors in the tonearm board. As a result of this, the machine starts and working absolutely properly! All functions are good. The sound is perfect.
This is one very nice turntable and it is working very smooth. I purchase the photoresistors from one eBay seller for $5 and free shipping.

richardloh, this post is 4 years old and unfortunately I lost all information about this eBay seller. I hope the VinylEngine post is still there. If you open the machine you will see the photoresistors under the tonearm. If these are bad, the computer doesn't know what position is the tonearm and never starts the cycle. I'll check my inventory for any of these. You can check online for the Service Manual to verify what ohm are these photos. A lot for sale of these online...

Noted and thanks ... read conflicting info on 5506, 5526 and 5528 in one thread and your mentioned 5516 for all as well as many dubious quality ones since cheap .. hence hoping for validated working ones.

If available, pls also advise led voltages used for the green stock ones as I hope to change them out to blue but info in these and ldr are somehow lacking in the svc manual that I did downloaded from VE.

took a look in my inventory and found these photo resistors. So, made some measurements: they are 100kohm in the full dark and 0.500 kohm in bright light. Hope this will help in your project.

I know this thread is old, but for everyone who is struggling with the photoresistors, here are the values that worked for my DP-21f(=23f and many others that share the same tonearm control system)
CDS1 - 5516
CDS2 - 5506
CDS3 - 5526
