I have one of these on my bench and cannot find much of anything for it. Customer states speed is slow and my testing confirms that. Though it will maintain speed, it is also lacking startup torque, so a little nudge at the startup will get it going. This is a Japanese model and customer provided power supply.
Was somewhat difficult to open up completely, as some clever person tightened some screws WAY too tightly. Anyway, I discovered that four of the five variable resistors are damaged; the tops have come off on all but one that is marked 10k. I have no idea what the others are since the top with the markings are missing completely. Examining surrounding components leads me to believe at lest a couple of them are 10k, but even if I replace these I have no idea how to calibrate it after that. I'm looking at VR5, VR6, VR3, and VR7. VR8 is intact.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
